Program Descriptions
Session I: AfterSport Group, Career Transition
Participants will benefit by receiving guidance related to transitioning from an academic or athletic setting to the workforce. The session will include an interactive presentation which focuses on topics such as interviewing etiquette, networking, business attire and follow-up. Whether planning a career in athletic administration or the corporate world, the tools obtained from participating are a great foundation in preparing for a successful performance beyond the arena.
Session II: Panel Discussion, Business Executives
This is your chance to pick the brains of business and sport industry professionals. Ranging from mid-level management to top level executives, panelists will give a brief overview of their day-to-day activities, their journey to success and give tips on achieving your goals. Come prepared with plenty of questions and lots of paper to take notes.
Session III: Andy Masters, Life After College
Join nationally recognized College Author/Speaker, Andy Masters, as he will help you discover your passion in life, create a target marketing plan for the job of your dreams, and transition student athlete skills of leadership and teamwork into career success. Andy will also highlight other principles from his book "Life After College: What to Expect and How to Succeed in Your Career," such as utilizing the powerful skill of networking and the biggest mistakes college graduates make. You will not want to miss this special life-changing program. Andy's presentations have been called inspiring, entertaining, and a must-see for every college student.
Session IV: Panel Discussion, Sport Industry Professionals
We are offering you one more opportunity to hear from professionals in the sport industry. On this panel, you will have the chance to hear from collegiate athletic department administrators. Have you ever wanted to know what they really do day after day? Have you been wondering what you need to do to get to where they are? Well, this is your chance to ask.
