A senior at Carthage College in Kenosha, Wisconsin, Michelle is a four-year member of the women?s soccer team, has served as captain for three seasons, and is a three-year letter winner.
Michelle has served on the board of the Carthage SAAC for three years, the last two years as president. The SAAC at Carthage has been active in many community efforts in the Kenosha and Racine areas. Michelle also served as the school?s representative to the NCAA National Leadership Conference held in Orlando in May 2007.
Michelle was a nominee for the Coca Cola Community All-American award in both 2006 and 2007. She has served as a nominated representative for the Character Quest leadership development program.
During the summer of 2007, Michelle served as an intern with the Chicago 2016 Olympic Bid Committee, assisting the media relations staff in its efforts to bring the Olympic and Paralympic Games to the Windy City.
Michelle?s study abroad experiences include trips to Southern Italy and Rome in 2006 and Greece and Cyprus in 2007 during J-Term at Carthage College.
She was recently featured in an ESPN broadcast of ?NCAA on Campus,? serving as a student host for the nationally televised feature.
Michelle has excelled in the classroom, earning a 3.6 grade point average and being included on the Dean?s List, Academic Director?s Honor Roll and CCIW Academic All-Conference all through her career at Carthage. Michelle is also a member of Who?s Who in
Michelle is active in other community activities, including serving as a student volunteer leader for the Autism Speaks Walk Now for Autism events for the last four years.
Slated to graduate in May 2008, Michelle will pursue a career in the field of communications.
