A two-year letterwinner on the Hood College softball team, Alecia led the Blazers to the Atlantic Women's Colleges Conference championship and the school's first appearance in the NCAA tournament in 2006.

The starting first baseman for Hood, Alecia has struck out just twice in each of her first two seasons. A defensive stalwart, she only committed a pair of errors in 2006.

Softball isn't the only thing keeping Alecia busy, as she is extremely active on campus and in the community.  A member of the Campus Activities Board, she also is co-chair of the student-athlete mentors program and vice president of her dorm.

Outside of school, Alecia spends her time at her home church and helping with the clothing ministry. A sports camp leader, she helps local athletes with learning the basic skills of many sports, especially basketball and softball. Alecia also enjoys working with special-needs children, specifically children with autism.

Alecia will serve as manager of Hood's women's basketball team this season.
