What is the benefit to my campus and conference?
Participants engage in sessions that promote their understanding of the NCAA, Division II Governance, the Division II Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, the Division II model athletics program and other Division II-specific issues. Using information and knowledge gained throughout the weekend, participants representing the same institution create "action plans" for implementation on their campuses in order to influence positive change in cooperation with other campus leaders. The NCAA will seek assessments from participating institutions in order to identify success stories and gauge the impact of action plan implementation.
When is my institution eligible to attend?
Every Division II institution has been designated for one of five regions based on conference affiliation and geographic location. Two regions host the Leadership Academy each academic year in September and February, allowing every institution the opportunity to participate within a three-year period.
