When and Where is the next NCAA Division II
When is the registration deadline?
All registrations must be submitted by January 7, 2008.

Does the administrator from our institution have to work in the athletics department?
No. The administrator representing your institution may work in any department on your campus. For instance, faculty members are eligible to attend.
Should the student-athletes selected have athletics eligibility remaining?
Student-athlete participants must have eligibility and be participating in a NCAA-sponsored sport during the 2007-08 academic year. To be eligible for the September Leadership Academy, student-athlete participants are not required to have athletics eligibility remaining for the 2007-08 academic year. However, February Leadership Academy student-athlete participants must be returning to campus and have athletics eligibility remaining for the 2008-09 academic year.
Can student-athletes attend the academy without a coach or administrator?
No. A coach, administrator or faculty member must attend with their institution's two student-athletes. For the attending coach, administrator or faculty member, the Division II Leadership Academy is a professional development opportunity to enhance leadership skills that contribute to their role on campus, and engage in dialogue with colleagues concerning their influence upon student-athlete well being.
For selected participants, is there a requirement to attend the entire academy?
Yes. All participants, including coaches, administrators and faculty, are required to attend and participate in all academy activities.
I attend an all-female or all-male institution. Can we still select two student-athletes?
Yes. An single-gender institution may select two student-athletes (of the same gender) and a coach, administrator or faculty member, with at least one participant being a person of color or international representative. Each student-athlete must represent a different NCAA-sponsored sport.

Does participation in the Division II Leadership Academy affect eligibility for the NCAA Leadership Conference?
Yes. Participants who attend the Division II Leadership Academy are precluded from eligibility for the national NCAA Leadership Conference during the same academic year. Likewise, national NCAA Leadership Conference participation precludes eligibility for the Division II Leadership Academy. Please consider this factor in your participant selections.
Will participants receive an agenda prior to the Leadership Academy?
No. Participants must arrive not later than 2 p.m. on Friday and may depart the hotel after 2 p.m. on Sunday. Participants should be prepared to have fun through active learning and be open to new experiences.
