HOW CAN THE SCHOLARSHIP BE USED?

Each award recipient will receive $6,000 for one year of full-time graduate study at an NCAA member institution.  This scholarship is not renewable.  The award recipient may not use more than one NCAA award for postgraduate studies.

Each award recipient is expected to enroll as a full-time graduate student at an NCAA member institution, as defined by the graduate institution, not later than fall 2008 or spring 2009.  If circumstances arise whereby an award recipient is unable to enroll, changes the graduate program as indicated on the application or is unable to use the award during the 2008-09 academic year, the award recipient must notify the NCAA national office in writing and request a deferment or approval to use the scholarship for a different major.

Each request will be reviewed and determined on a case-by-case basis.  Failure by an award recipient to receive approval from the NCAA national office to change or delay use of the scholarship forfeits all rights to the scholarship.  When the completed acceptance form is sent to the NCAA national office, a check is sent to the graduate institution.

The scholarship will be paid to the NCAA member college or university of the recipient's choice.  The award recipient must be a full-time graduate student at all times while receiving the scholarship.
