SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION

Selection Process

A subcommittee from the NCAA Committee on Women's Athletics selects 13 award recipients, and a subcommittee from the NCAA Minorities Opportunities and Interests Committee selects 13 award recipients, for a total of 26 award recipients.

Need shall not be a factor in granting these scholarships.  An award or a fellowship from a non-NCAA source shall not preclude the applicant from being considered for an NCAA Ethnic Minority and Women's Enhancement Programs' Postgraduate Scholarship for Careers in Athletics.  An award recipient may not use more than one NCAA award for postgraduate studies.  

Notification Process

Each applicant who submitted an application is notified if they have been selected as an award recipient or not in February 2008.  An acceptance form and list of policies that govern the award are included with the notification letter if the applicant was an award recipient.  Notifications are sent to the address for notification entered on the application.
