Executive Committee Chair – Election Process

The officer of the Executive Committee will be the chair.  The chair will serve the Executive Committee for a maximum two-year term and is not eligible for immediate reelection to the position of chair.

The elected officer will begin his or her official duties at the conclusion of the January post-Convention Executive Committee meeting.

The procedures to elect the Executive Committee chair will begin during the November Executive Committee meeting.  All eligible members for the position of chair will be considered nominees for the positions unless they decline the nomination by informing Jim Isch or Bridget Belgiovine by November 8, 2002.  The staff will conduct an e-mail ballot election for Executive Committee chair during the month of November.  The staff will continue the mail balloting process, eliminating the lowest vote getter after each round, until a majority decision is reached.  The announcement of chair will be done via e-mail communication to all members, no later than November 29.
