1. Automatic
Qualification – 2007 Championship.
a.
Recommendation.
That automatic qualification to the 2007 National Collegiate Men’s
Water Polo Championship be granted to the conference champion of the Collegiate
Water Polo Association, the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation and the Western
Water Polo Association.
b.
Rationale. All three eligible conferences are being
recommended.

2. Appointment of Committee Chair.

Recommendation.
That effective September 1, 2007, John Ziegler, head water polo
coach at
b.
Rationale. Mr. Ziegler was the choice of the
remainder of the men’s water polo committee and they believe he will
capably serve in this capacity and has extensive experience with the sport and
the championship. Please note that
the sports committee requests a waiver of the policy that an active head coach
may not serve as the chair of a sports committee, due to the fact that
men’s water polo is sponsored by less than 60 percent of the membership
eligible to participate in the championship.
