ACTION ITEMS.
1. Technical
Director.
a. Recommendation. That a stipend and travel expenses be
provided for a technical director for the electronic targets.
b. Rationale.
The services provided by a technical director are very specialized
in working with the electronic targets.
This individual coordinates all activities related to the setup of the
electronic targets, as well as the interface between the electronic targets and
overhead projection screens that display all the scores. Nearly all of the electronic targets
used during competition are from European manufacturers and necessitate an
individual with specialized knowledge to coordinate all interface activities.
c. Estimated
Budget Impact. The estimated expenses are $3,935, which would include a $2,000 stipend
plus $600 for a flight, $1,020 for lodging ($170 per room for six nights) and
$315 for per diem ($45 per day for seven days).

b. Rationale. Ms. Boothe’s term has expired as a
member of the committee. Mr. Klimitas
has been on the committee for four years and has demonstrated many qualities
that will benefit the committee.
