Division I Football Issues Committee Duties & Responsibilities
COMMITTEE INFORMATION FOR INDIVIDUALS INTERESTED IN POSSIBLY SERVING ON NCAA COMMITTEES
NUMBER OF COMMITTEE MEMBERS:
GENERAL DUTIES OF COMMITTEE MEMBERS:
Participate on conference calls as needed.
Develop and review agenda items for two in-person meetings annually.
Attend in-person meetings.
NUMBER OF IN-PERSON MEETINGS PER YEAR (include approximate dates and days away from office):
The winter meeting generally occurs on the first Friday and Saturday of the NCAA Convention and takes place at the site of the NCAA Convention.
The summer meeting generally occurs during the first week of August.
NUMBER OF CONFERENCE CALLS PER YEAR (include the usual day of the week and average length of call):
Committee members are required to participate on an April conference call to recommend legislative proposals for consideration by the Championships/Competition Cabinet.
Two to three times a year the committee must convene via conference call to discuss football issues that arise and require their input.
