SUBJECT: NCAA Division I Committee on Academic Performance.
The enclosed materials have been prepared to inform you of recent decisions made by the NCAA Division I Board of Directors with regard to NCAA Division I Academic Performance Program historical-penalty structure. In addition, the NCAA Division I Committee on Academic Performance and the Board are seeking your input on key decisions and request your action on several items.
The materials are as follows:
1. An excerpt from the August Board meeting highlighting the Board's actions, followed by materials provided to the Board (e.g., an executive summary of the historical-penalty recommendations, the full committee report, data reviewed by the committee and the Board informing key historical-penalty decisions).
2. Academic waiver data requested by the Board.
3. Information and research regarding NCAA Proposal No. 2005-97.

memo requesting your action in extending

Also, during this meeting you will be asked to appoint a new member to the committee to replace Marshall Goodman who took a position at a non-NCAA institution.
