Administration Cabinet

This cabinet would be primarily responsible for addressing the administrative functions of the Division I. This cabinet would address Division I governance issues, the Division I membership process, and all committee selections.

 

This cabinet would help manage the legislative role.

 

 

 

Recruiting Cabinet (21)

 

This cabinet would assume responsibility over Bylaw 13 recruiting matters.

Academics Cabinet

This cabinet would assume jurisdiction over all academic matters, except matters addressed by the Committee on Academic Performance.

·   Initial-Eligibility Waivers Committee

·   Progress Toward Degree Waiver Committee

·   Foreign Student Records

·   High School Review Group

 

Committees that report to the cabinet:

 

·   Competitive Safeguards and Medical Aspects of Sports

·   Olympic Sports Liaison Committee

·   Rules Committees

·   Playing Rules Oversight Panel

·   All sport committees.

·   Football, Men’s Basketball and Women’s Basketball Issues Committees

 

Committee that reports to the cabinet:

Student Athlete Awards, Benefits and Financial Aid Cabinet

This cabinet would address Bylaw 15 financial aid matters and issues pertaining to Bylaw 16 awards, benefits and expenses for enrolled student-athletes.

 

 

Championships/

Sports Management Cabinet (31)

 

This cabinet would retain much of the jurisdiction of the current C/C Cabinet except for issues pertaining to committee selections and Bylaw 16 issues, which would be assigned elsewhere in the substructure.

 

Amateurism Cabinet

This cabinet would assume jurisdiction over all pre- and post-enrollment amateurism issues, including oversight of issues pertaining to the NCAA Eligibility Center, student-athlete likeness issues, and the relationship between college and professional athletes.
