MINUTES OF THE

NCAA DIVISION III ADMINISTRATIVE COMMITTEE CONFERENCE NOS. 6, 7 AND 8

Those participating were Susan Bassett, Division III Management Council vice-chair; Marcia Kierscht, Division III Management Council; Bette Landman, Division III Presidents Council chair; John McCardell, Division III Presidents Council vice-chair; Christopher Walker, Division III Management Council chair; Dan Dutcher, NCAA; and Bridget Belgiovine, NCAA, recording secretary.

[NOTE: The following actions occurred via facsimile on May 22, June 10 and 14, 2002.]

Acting for the Division III Management Council and Presidents Council, the Administrative Committee:

1. Approved a waiver for Donna Ledwin to continue her service on the Division III Membership Committee (term expiration 2004) and the Nominating Committee (term expiration 2005) during the approximately six-week period between her departure from the New Jersey Athletic Conference and her start date with the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC), and the AMCC’s anticipated NCAA membership (September 1, 2002).

2. Approved the NCAA compliance forms for use by Division III institutions during the 2002-03 academic year.

3. Approved the following committee appointments:

a. Division III Interpretations and Legislation Committee – Gary Karner, commissioner, Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (term expiration January 2005).

b. Committee on Women’s Athletics – Carlyle Carter, executive director, Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (term expiration September 2006).
