Division III Budget Committee Duties & Responsibilities
COMMITTEE INFORMATION FOR INDIVIDUALS INTERESTED IN POSSIBLY SERVING ON NCAA COMMITTEES
NUMBER OF COMMITTEE MEMBERS:
GENERAL DUTIES OF COMMITTEE MEMBERS:
The responsibilities of the committee include approving the biennial budgets, approving annual budget reallocations and increases, making budget recommendations to the Division III Management Council and President?s Council and monitoring Division III program expenses throughout the year.
NUMBER OF IN-PERSON MEETINGS PER YEAR:
There is usually only one in-person meeting during the year. During the year preceding a new biennial budget cycle, the committee meets in-person for 1 day in the spring to review and approve the next biennial budget. On the off years, the committee holds a short in-person meeting at the NCAA Convention for those committee members in attendance at the Convention.
NUMBER OF CONFERENCE CALLS PER YEAR: - The committee normally holds a one hour conference call each Fall to review the budget for the new year as well as any changes that have occurred and to review the expenses from the previous year.
