PRE-APPLICATION
  • None.
  • Registration to start "exploratory period."
  • Complete exploratory year including required informational session at NCAA Convention.
  • Waiver of this period possible.

    • TIME OF APPLICATION

    • Submit application with fee of $3,400 ($2,500 application fee and $900 first-year dues) by June 15 deadline.
    • Must be properly accredited.
  • Sponsor five sports, three of which must be team, for each gender and one sport in each season.
  • May not award any new student athletically related financial aid.
  • Submit application with a fee TBD.

    • END OF

    FIRST YEAR
    • May not award any new student athletically related financial aid.
    • Apply legislation to the greatest extent possible.
  • Appoint a FAR.
  • Implement a campus SAAC.
  • Sponsor at least five sports, three of which must be team, for each gender and one sport in each season that meet minimum contest and participant requirements.

    • END OF

    SECOND YEAR
    • May not award athletically related financial aid to a continuing student.
    • Apply all legislation.
  • May not award athletically related financial aid to a continuing student.
  • Complete proposed financial aid audit.
  • Administer rules test to all coaches.

    • THIRD AND FOURTH YEARS
    • Apply all legislation.
    • Act as an "active member."
