BASED ON INTENT The following are proposals that the NCAA
Division III Management Council has agreed to sponsor as intent-based
modifications. The approved revision
is consistent with the intent of the original legislation. |

ELIGIBILITY
– TWO-YEAR COLLEGE TRANSFERS – TWO-YEAR NONPARTICIPATION EXCEPTION |
|

Intent: To specify that a two-year college transfer may use the two-year nonparticipation exception, provided that for a consecutive two-year period immediately prior to the date on which the student begins participation he or she has neither practiced nor competed in organized noncollegiate amateur competition while enrolled as a full-time student. |

institution from a two-year college or from a branch school that conducts an
intercollegiate athletics program and, for a consecutive two-year period
immediately prior to the date on which the student begins participation
(practice and/or competition), the student has neither practiced nor competed
in the involved sport in intercollegiate competition, |

opportunity are limited to a playing and practice season of 21 weeks. |
