SUBJECT: Women’s Volleyball Rules Committee Appointment.

The Division II and Division III Management Councils are asked to appoint two members, respectively, to the Women’s Volleyball Rules Committee. The positions were first advertised in May, with nominations due June 1. Due to the lack of nominations, the call for nominations was reopened with a closing deadline of June 25. It is important to note that these are immediate vacancies. The women’s volleyball season begins August 15, and it is necessary to have the rules committee established and operating by that date. An organizational meeting for the Women’s Volleyball Rules Committee has been set for August 3-4 in Indianapolis in order to establish NCAA rules before the start of the season. It is for this reason that the recommendation is being forwarded to the Management Council.

A chart is provided that illustrates the current composition of the committee, as well as a description of the vacancies. The page that immediately follows the current composition chart is the list of nominees. Following the nominees are copies of the nominee information forms for the eligible nominees.
