MINUTES OF THE

NCAA DIVISION III ADMINISTRATIVE COMMITTEE CONFERENCE NOS. 11 AND 12

Those participating were Susan Bassett, Division III Management Council vice-chair; Marcia Kierscht, Division III Management Council; Bette Landman, Division III Presidents Council chair; John McCardell, Division III Presidents Council vice-chair; Christopher Walker, Division III Management Council chair; Dan Dutcher, NCAA; and Bridget Belgiovine, NCAA, recording secretary.

[NOTE: The following actions occurred via facsimile September 16 and October 2, 2002.]

1. Acting for the Division III Management Council and Presidents Council, the Administrative Committee rescinded the appointment of Vinton Prince, faculty athletics representative, Wilmington College (Ohio), to the Division III Membership Committee. NCAA Bylaw 21.8.1.2 prohibits a conference from being represented by more than one individual on a committee. Mr. Prince’s institution is a member of the Ohio Athletic Conference, which is already represented on the committee.

The Division III Nominating Committee will consider the vacancy at its September 29-30 in-person meeting.

2. Acting for the Division III Management Council and Presidents Council, the Administrative Committee approved the following appointments:

a. Division III Management Council. Sandra Slabik, faculty athletics representative, Neumann College (interim vacancy replacing Myrtes Dunn Green).

b. Division III Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.

(1) Empire Eight – Andrew Baldwin, Nazareth College.

(2) Presidents' Athletic Conference – Angela Lattanzio, Washington and Jefferson College.
