Waiver
of NCAA Bylaw 14.1.9.2-- NCAA Championship after Last Term of Eligibility. The NCAA Division III Management Council
Academic Issues Subcommittee approved a waiver request from Coe College to
waive the 60-day requirement, such that a student-athlete who graduated in
three and one-half years could continue the sport season through the NCAA
Division III Swimming Championship that occurs 90 days after the conclusion of
the student-athletes' final term.
The subcommittee concluded that student-athletes who have worked to
graduate in less than four years should be given the same consideration as
student-athletes who are enrolled in an accelerated academic degree program,
which allows for participation within 90 days of the final semester.
