RE: 2006 NCAA Convention.
This e-mail is to follow up with
you concerning information that you received via e-mail from the NCAA Thursday,
September 15, and to assist you in your registration for the 2006 NCAA Convention,
to be held in
http://www.planningpoint.net/Registrations/index.cfm?Display=dsp_waves.cfm&EventID=200
There are a couple of items that are different for you, as a member of the Division III Management Council. Please note these changes and, as always, feel free to call me at 800/536-8819, Extension 6907, if you have questions.
1. The online process is basically the same as last year. When you begin the registration process, indicate that you are a Division III member and that you are completing a new registration. You will then have the option of selecting “Management Council” as your category. DO NOT select Delegate, even if you are the voting delegate from your institution. The Management Council designation takes priority for you.
2. The original e-mail from the NCAA neglected to give you the password that the next screen will prompt you to enter. The password for this year is ‘NCAA2006.’ Entering this password, after first entering your Management Council designation, will let the system know that your registration, flights and hotel are complimentary.
3. Once you complete the screen that asks for your personal information, the next screens will give you options for attending various menu sessions. Please make sure that you indicate those sessions that you plan to attend.
4. Please note that hotel reservations will be accepted ONLY through the online system. As a member of the Management Council, your room and tax for Thursday, January 5, through Monday night, January 9, will be charged to the NCAA master account. Please indicate the MARRIOTT as your hotel preference—that will be the Division III headquarters for the majority of our meetings.
Our first
‘official’ meeting is Friday, January 6, from
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE DIVISION III STAFF WILL NOT BE SENDING A SEPARATE ROOM-RESERVATION FORM FOR THE JANUARY MEETINGS. YOU NEED TO SECURE YOUR ROOM ONLINE THROUGH THE REGISTRATION PROCESS.
5. You can reserve your flights either online or by calling the toll-free number for Short’s Travel at 866/655-9215. As mentioned above, your flights will be billed to the NCAA master account.
6. Once you enter your credit card information (this is for incidentals only), you will be prompted to enter a Username and Password. Please create one that you will remember. You will need both of these items should you need to update your registration. AND please make sure that you print a copy of all your information for your records.
Once you’ve gone through all these steps, your registration should be complete. Please make sure that you review all the information contained in the original e-mail below that was sent from the Convention management staff. This e-mail is not meant to replace the original—it is meant to assist in your registration process.
As always, give me a call if you have questions. We’ll update you at the October Management Council meeting with any new information that you might need.
