Presentation at the 2005 NCAA Convention to review the preliminary findings from the division-wide pilot and the financial aid annual electronic reporting process.

March 9-10, 2005

Division III Financial Aid and Awards Committee in-person meeting.

Late March 2005

Memorandum to membership, including final reports from the division-wide pilot.

Late May 2005

Presentation at the Association for Institutional Research (AIR) Annual Conference.

Late May/Early June 2005

Update on the review process at the NCAA Regional Rules Seminars.

Mid-June 2005

Memorandum sent to chief executive officers and athletics directors regarding full implementation of the annual electronic reporting process in fall 2005.

July 1, 2005 – September 30, 2005

Submission window – Institutions may perform a file upload through the Financial Aid Data Management System (FADMS).

July 2, 2005

Presentation at the National Association of Financial Aid Administrators (NASFAA) Conference in New York City.

September 30, 2005

Deadline for institutions to perform a file upload through FADMS.

October 1, 2005 – December 1, 2005

Level I review conducted by NCAA staff and Financial Aid and Awards Subcommittees to determine whether the institution has an acceptable variance (e.g., review institutional reports using a checklist developed by the Financial Aid and Awards Committee).

December 1-2, 2005

Division III Financial Aid and Awards Committee in-person meeting.

December 31, 2005

Deadline for the committee to send a final detailed report to chief executive officers and directors of financial aid to institutions that have an acceptable variance.

December 31, 2005

Deadline for notification to institutions that are outside the acceptable variance to submit justifications.

February 1, 2006

Deadline for institutions to submit justifications.

Late February/Early March 2006

Level II review conducted by the Financial Aid and Awards Committee (e.g., review institutional reports and justifications).
