COMMITTEE MEETING FREQUENCY

ACTION ITEMS.

a. Association-wide Committee Meeting Frequency. [Attachment A] Grant an exception to Bylaw 31.7.2.1.4 and forward to Executive Committee to approve three in-person meetings in 2005-06 for the Committee on Women’s Athletics, Minority Opportunities and Interests Committee and Postgraduate Scholarship Committee.

b. Division III Committee Meeting Frequency. [Attachment B] Grant an exception to Bylaw 31.7.2.1.4 and approve three in-person meetings in 2005-06 for the Division III Championships, Financial Aid and Awards and Student-Athlete Advisory committees.

· Rationale. NCAA Bylaw 31.7.2.1.4 (Meeting Frequency) limits in-person committee meeting frequency to twice per year, unless authorized by the appropriate Management Council, Presidents Council or the Executive Committee. Every April, governance groups in all three divisions review the anticipated committee meeting dates for the next academic year.
