1. ACTION
ITEMS.

NCAA Convention Schedule. [Attachment A]
(1) Recommendation. Approve the Convention schedule noting:
(a) Thursday,
January 5 - Division III Faculty Athletics Representatives Association (FARA)
preconference from
(b) Friday,
January 6 – Management Council meeting will be
(c) Saturday
January 7 – Division III commissioners will meet from
(d) Saturday
January 7 – Joint MC/PC/SAAC brunch from 9:30 a.m. to noon, followed
immediately by the Presidents Council meeting from noon to 3 p.m.

January 7 - NAD3AA Session will be from
(f) Sunday,
January 8 – President Brand will host a breakfast for chief executive
officers (CEOs) from all three divisions from
(g) Sunday,
January 8 – Division III Forum from
(h) Sunday,
January 8 – CEO Issues Forum and lunch to include campus administrators
others than CEO’s to whom athletics reports as an
opportunity to focus on the importance of engaging direct reports into
intercollegiate
athletics and differing organizational structures. Also possibly invite a guest speaker.
(i) Monday
January 9 – Division III Business Session with consideration of special
Division III Year of the Student-Athlete Kickoff as a component of the Business
Session. Program would highlight
student-athletes and their contributions to Division III and society by the
decades since the inception of Division III (70’s, 80’s
90’s). The program is
intended to promote and celebrate the division. Staff will work with Convention
management to plan the session with input from subcommittee members.

and Division III Educational Topics.
NCAA Convention management staff has developed several Association-wide
centennial celebration topics. [Attachment B]
b. NAD3AA
– Division III topics. TheNAD3AA
representatives have identified the following topics:
