INFORMATION ITEMS.

Association-wide.

a. 2006 Silver Anniversary Award Selections. The committee selected the following honorees for the Silver Anniversary Award: Valerie Ackerman (University of Virginia), Danny Ainge (Brigham Young University), Charles Davis (Vanderbilt University), Terry Schroeder (Pepperdine University), Mike Singletary (Baylor University) and Susan D. Wellington (Yale University).

b. Top VIII Award selections. The committee selected eight individuals.

(1) Division I. The committee selected Samantha Arsenault (University of Georgia) ,Nicholas Hartigan (Brown University), DeMeco Ryans (University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa) Richelle Simpson (University of Nebraska, Lincoln); Christine Sinclair (University of Portland) and Jamie Southern (California State University, Fresno).

(2) Division II. The committee selected Sarah Dance (Truman State University).

(3) Division III. The committee selected Carter Hamill (Amherst College).

c. Theodore Roosevelt Award Selection. The committee selected Robert K. Kraft as the 2006 Theodore Roosevelt Award recipient.

d. 2006 Inspiration Award recipients. The committee selected Raul Altreche (Amherst College), John Doar (Princeton University) and Lois Taurman (Bellarmine University).

e. 2006 Award of Valor recipients. The committee did not select a recipient. This award is given only when the committee believes that a nomination truly meets the criteria.

f. 2006 Honors Reception. The 2006 Honors Reception will be held Saturday, January 7, 2006, at the Murat Theatre in Indianapolis. Jack Ford was selected as master of ceremonies.

g. Committee Chair. Timothy W. Gleason (Ohio Athletic Conference) was selected as the new committee chair.
