The meeting was called to order at 3 p.m. by the chair, Ms. Ledwin. All were present as noted above.

1. Review of Ursinus College’s Annual Report. The committee reviewed Ursinus College’s annual report. The committee expressed concern that the institution missed the annual report deadline by nine days and also that the institution missed the deadline in 2001 when initially requesting reclassification. The committee received a verbal explanation of the institution’s reason for missing the deadline, but prefers to have this information in writing.

It was VOTED

"That Ursinus College be moved into year two of the reclassification process pending receipt of a written explanation describing why the institution missed the June 15 deadline."

2. Future Telephone Conferences and In-Person Meetings. The committee reviewed its future meeting schedule, which is as follows:

a. October 31 telephone conference at 10 a.m. Eastern time;

b. December 5 telephone conference at 10 a.m. Eastern time; and

c. January 23-24, 2003, in-person meeting in Key West, Florida.

3. Adjournment. The conference call was adjourned at 3:25 p.m.
