The summer in-person meeting includes an extensive review of the annual
reports of each provisional or reclassifying member institution. It is common for committee members to
serve in a mentor capacity to the staff of provisional institutions due to the
interaction at these educational meetings. Finally, the membership committee
will be involved in information gathering and analysis for the Future of
Division III, Phase II initiative, as a main area of focus for that initiative
are issues of membership growth and diversity.
