Review
the NCAA Ad Hoc Review report and provide a prioritized list of Association-wide
issues, identify divisional issues and respond to the questions.

Should
tThe Executive Committee consider its
composition to determine whether it needs to be re-composed in a way that
would better represent the overall membership and permit it to serve as a
more effective advocate for intercollegiate athletics in higher education?.
2.
Should
tThe NCAA annual Convention should be
continued and strengthened as an opportunity to help ensure unity in the NCAA?. Increase participation of chief
executive officers and build stronger relationships with divisional
governance groups (e.g., hospitality suite during Council meetings.
3.
Should
tThe Executive Committee should more
clearly define its role in advocating for equal opportunity for all
minority individuals and female constituents in intercollegiate
athletics?. The
Executive Committee also should consider increased allocation of resources
for Association-wide initiatives.
4.
Should
tThe Executive Committee should direct
the NCAA staff to propose initiatives designed to improve communication and
education, and build support among various NCAA constituent groups
(faculty, staff, students, coaches, administrators, trustees, etc.)?.
5.
Should
tThe Executive Committee should clarify
the role of conference commissioners and the impact on
institutional autonomy, and also the role of NCAA staff in the NCAA?.
6.
Should
tThe Executive Committee should initiate
a process to increase participation for identifying CEO’s throughout
the membership who are well suited genuinely interested to
assume in assuming leadership roles in the NCAA?.
7.
Given the
concern expressed by the membership about the legislative process, should
the Executive Committee should ask the appropriate governance groups
to consider and make recommendations for improvement?.
