JANUARY 2003 VACANCIES

July 25 -- Presidents Council Nominations Subcommittee conference call (agenda, nominees and requirements forwarded prior).

Aug 8 -- Presidents Council Nominations Subcommittee forwards recommendations for appointment.

Early Sep. -- Letter to nominees (meeting dates, Convention, handbook, travel policy etc. -- Tufano). Follow up letter to unsuccessful candidates.

Sep. 30 -- Mail ballot to all Division III CEOs.

Oct. 20 -- Deadline for submission of ballots to J. Whitehead.

Mid Oct. -- The NCAA News article -- notification of slate for 2003.

Oct. 31 -- Presidents Council reviews appointments approved by Division III CEO’s.

Jan. 11 -- Pre-Convention Presidents Council meeting -- appointees invited to attend as observers.

Apr. 24 -- Presidents Council meeting (Indianapolis) -- orientation for new members prior to full Council meeting.
