Summary of Recommendations

ACTION ITEMS – MANAGEMENT COUNCIL ONLY

1. ISSUE:		North Atlantic Conference Waiver.
Committee Recommendation:
	Approve the request from the North Atlantic Conference to recognize the men's program as an active member conference.
Management Council Action:
	Approved the recommendation.
2. ISSUE:		Emerson College Consortium (Bylaw 30.4).
Subcommittee Recommendation:
	Approve the request from Emerson College to renew its athletics consortium with the Massachusetts College of Art and add Berklee College of Music, which is not an NCAA institution, to the consortium. Approve the waiver of NCAA Constitution 3.1.2 to allow a second nonmember institution to join the consortium.
Management Council Action:
	Approved the recommendation.
3. ISSUE:		Daniel Webster College Waiver Request (Constitution 3.2.4.11.5).
Committee Recommendation:
	Approve the waiver request from Daniel Webster College pursuant to Constitution 3.2.4.11.5 –– Male-Female Enrollment Ratio Waiver.
Management Council Action:
	Approved the recommendation, noting that the committee has requested an action plan from the institution.

ITEM OF INFORMATION

ISSUE:		Provisional Membership Chief Executive Officer Orientation Session
Committee Action:
	The committee reviewed the tentative plan for the fall orientation session for new provisional members. The committee noted that the session should include discussion of the Division III philosophy statement and institutional control. The committee suggested video taping the session to make it available to individuals who are unable to attend.
Management Council Action:
	Accepted the information.
