NCAA HONORS COMMITTEE

Summary of Recommendations

ACTION ITEM ? MANAGEMENT COUNCIL ONLY

ISSUE:

Change Selection Criteria for NCAA Silver Anniversary Award.

Committee Recommendation:

Change the criteria for the NCAA Silver Anniversary Award to allow the committee to select up to six honorees instead of six honorees annually based on the quality of the application pool. The criteria required the committee to select six honorees when the number of applications received has been decreasing. During the past selection meeting, almost one-third of the applicants were chosen for the honor.

Management Council Action:

Approved the recommendation.
