Division II Women's Basketball Committee Duties & Responsibilities
COMMITTEE INFORMATION FOR INDIVIDUALS INTERESTED IN POSSIBLY SERVING ON NCAA COMMITTEES

CHAMPIONSHIP DATES AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES/NUMBER OF DAYS YOU ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND:
The time commitment is usually one week since each region has eight teams in the tournament. The tournament competition days are Friday, Saturday and Monday. The committee will arrive at the site the Wednesday prior to the tournament and depart on Tuesday.
Elite Eight championship. The committee usually arrives on Monday and departs on Sunday.
NUMBER OF IN-PERSON MEETINGS PER YEAR:
One in person meeting a year, which usually takes place during the first week of June and will last approximately 4 days and 3 nights.
The chair of the committee will usually attend one meeting in September for one night to address the assignors of officials, which is in conjunction with Division I and Division III.
The chair will attend the Division II Championship Committee meeting for two days and one night every other year.
NUMBER OF CONFERENCE CALLS PER YEAR:
Regional conference calls will rank the top 10 teams in the region and will take place once a week beginning in January of each year. The length of the regional conference calls will vary from 2 to 3 hours.
National conference calls will review the procedures each regional committee followed to rank the top 10 teams. The length of this call is usually around 3 hours.
