Division II Men's Soccer Committee Duties & Responsibilities
COMMITTEE INFORMATION FOR INDIVIDUALS INTERESTED IN POSSIBLY SERVING ON NCAA COMMITTEES

NUMBER OF IN-PERSON MEETINGS PER YEAR:
Attend the annual committee meeting in February (four days during the second week in February).
The chair attends the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Convention (two days during second week of January).
The chair attends a meeting with the Division II Championships Committee (two days during the second or third week in September.
The chair also attends site visits to selected championship sites as needed (two or three days in December or January).
NUMBER OF CONFERENCE CALLS PER YEAR:
Committee members are required to participate on four regional advisory committee calls and four national committee calls (weekly in October and November) prior to selection. The regional calls are generally on Monday. The national calls are on Tuesday. These calls typically last 60 to 90 minutes.
Committee members also participate on the selection call, which takes place the Monday prior to the start of first-round competition. The selection call may take several hours.
After the conclusion of the first and second rounds, the committee conducts a telephone conference to select quarterfinal sites. This call lasts approximately 60 minutes.
Prior to the start of the season, committee members are requested to participate in an orientation call in October.
OTHER COMMENTS:
Regional advisory committee experience is preferred, but not required.
Basic computer and e-mail skills are encouraged.
