Introduction

Welcome to the NCAA Soccer Rules Clarifications and Interpretations Web site.  The current members of the NCAA Soccer Rules Committee are:

This site has been designed to aid players, coaches, referees and others needing clarifications or interpretations of NCAA soccer rules.  The clarifications and interpretations contained herein are intended to illustrate the spirit and application of the NCAA soccer rules, and are interpreted by Cliff McCrath, secretary-rules editor.

 

Requesting A Clarification or Interpretation

Individuals should first consult a NCAA Men's and Women's Soccer Rules book (found on the NCAA Web site).  If further explanation is desired, a clarification or interpretation may be requested by contacting:

All requests should be detailed and specific.  All requests should be accompanied by a return e-mail and/or mailing address and/or daytime telephone number.  All persons making requests should identify themselves at the time of their request.

Responses to appropriate requests will be made in a timely manner.  Some requests and the corresponding clarifications and/or interpretations will be posted on this Web site preceded by the date the clarification/interpretation was made.
