Division I Women's Basketball Recruiting Calendar
August 1, 2005 - July 31, 2006

The dates in this calendar reflect the application of Bylaw 30.11 at the time of publication of this Manual but are subject to change per Constitution 5.2.3.1 or if certain dates change (e.g., National Letter of Intent signing dates) are altered.
(a) August 1 through September 15, 2005:

(b) September 16, 2005, through April 18, 2006, [except for (1), (2), (3), (4), (5), (6) and (7) below]:
Women's basketball staff members shall not exceed 85 recruiting-person days. A recruiting person day is defined as one coach engaged in a off-campus recruiting activity of a women's basketball prospect on one day; two coaches engaged in recruiting activities on the same day shall use two recruiting days. Academic year evaluations are limited to scholastic events.

(a) One women's basketball event certified by the NCAA (Bylaw 30.19) held in conjunction with, and conducted in the host city of the NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Championship:

(7) April 15-16, 2006: Evaluations permitted at nonscholastic women's basketball events.

(1) It is permissible for an institution to have contact with a prospect who is enrolled in the institution's summer term (i.e., summer session or summer bridge program) and has signed a National Letter of Intent or other written commitment to attend the institution.

Exceptions
Evaluations are permitted during the National Junior College Athletic Association championship competition.
Evaluations are permissible in the following states only during the time periods listed, provided evaluations outside of the July period are counted toward the 85 recruiting-person days set forth above:
Hawaii: | March 1-May 31 and July 8-31 |
All states (except Hawaii) that play the high-school basketball season in the spring:
