Joel Maturi                               

Director of Athletics, University of Minnesota, Twin Cities

Bio in Brief:

• Director of Athletics, University of Minnesota, 2002-Present 
• Director of Athletics, Miami University, 1998-2002 
• Director of Athletics, University of Denver, 1996-1998 
• Assistant/Associate Director of Athletics, University of Wisconsin, 1987-1996 
• High School Teacher/Coach/Administrator, 1968-1987 
• Graduated with a B.A. in government from the University of Notre Dame in 1967 
• Earned a master's degree and certification for educational administration from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville in 1985.

• Assistant Commissioner for Compliance, America East Conference, 1997-2005    
• Director of Compliance, Northeastern University, 1995-1997    
• Director of Compliance, University of Houston, 1994-1995    
• Athletic Academic Counseling, University of Houston, 1991-1994    
• Graduated from the University of Texas in 1990, and earned a masters in sports administration from the University of Houston in 1993.    
• Currently is the Chair of the NCAA Division 1 Legislative Review Interpretations Committee, and also serves on the NCAA Division 1 Volleyball Committee.

Betty Wiseman                       

Assistant Athletic Director/SWA, Belmont University

Bio in Brief:

• Graduated from Belmont University with a B.A. in Physical Education in 1965   
• Master of Arts from the George Peabody College for Teachers at Vanderbilt University   
• Post Masters work from Atlanta University   
• Served as Associate Professor of Health and Physical Education at Belmont since 1966, and currently teaches part-time in the Department of Health and Human Performance   
• Founded the Belmont University Women?s Basketball program in 1966   
• Served as Head Coach of Women?s Basketball program for 16 years, compiling a career record of 248-152.
