A junior at Washington and Lee University, Isaiah Goodman is a long way from his hometown of Minneapolis, Minnesota. As a sophomore he helped lead the Generals to an 11-14 mark, their best in 10 years. As a captain this season, Isaiah is excited to contend for the conference title.

Isaiah is a recipient of the Heinz scholarship, which will give him the opportunity to intern with Heinz Corp. this summer. Last summer he worked as an intern with Target Corp. A business major and a member of Washington and Lee Student Consulting (WLSC), Isaiah is hoping to peruse an entrepreneurial career.

Isaiah is a dorm counselor for freshmen and one of the original members of Washington and Lee?s newly formed campus SAAC. He was one of two students to serve on the search committee for the university?s new athletics director last year.

Hoping to help develop other leaders at the school, Isaiah created a captain?s council this year. The council is designed to create leadership programs for the captains of all the sports at Washington and Lee.  Isaiah is also hoping to create a few public speaking seminars to help students gain confidence with their oratory skills.
