A four-year letterman for the Stevens Institute lacrosse team, Suggs, played the long stick defensive middie spot and faced-off.  Suggs led the Ducks in face-off wins, 125, and win percentage, 0.694, for the 2007 season.  In his four years on the team, he helped the Ducks to three Knickerbocker Conference Championships, three NCAA tournament appearances, a top ten ranking in 2005, and the 2007 ECAC Metro Lacrosse Championship.

A member of Delta Tau Delta fraternity, Suggs served as a member of the executive committee and risk manager. Suggs also served as the chairman of community affairs where he was responsible for the planning of the fraternity's community service events. Suggs was a member of the Stevens Scholars Program and spent the summer of 2004 as a Tim and Tom Gullikson intern at The Brain Tumor Center at Duke.

Suggs graduated with honors from Stevens Institute of Technology in May of 2007 and plans to attend medical school in 2008.
